The results are in....not only is Bean HZ for the black gene, she is also HZ for the roan gene! Koko Bean is a sweetheart of a mare. She is a true blue roan and is homozygous for the black gene. She is very gaited - she has shown us a foxtrot, running walk, and steppy-pace. Whatever gait she does, it is super smooth to ride. She has had 60 days of saddle training.
